Mr. Machinist has been a member of the Board since December 2004.
He is currently Chairman of the Board of Advisors of MESA, a leading merchant bank specializing in media and entertainment industry transactions. Mr. Machinist also runs a private family investment company. In addition, he is a member of the boards of directors of United Pacific Industries, a publicly listed Hong Kong company, and Maimonides Medical Center. He was the Chairman of Atrinsic, a publicly-listed interactive media company, through 2008.
From 1998 to December 2001, Mr. Machinist was managing director and head of investment banking for the Bank of New York and its Capital Markets division. From January 1986 to November 1998, he was president and one of the principal founders of Patricof & Co. Capital Corp. (and its successor companies), a multinational investment banking business, until its acquisition by the Bank of New York.
Mr. Machinist received a B.A. from Vassar College.
